1. Who are the Company's Registrars and how do I contact them?

The Registrars are Capita Registrars and their postal address is:

Capita Registrars
Northern House
Woodsome Park
Fenay Bridge
Huddersfield
WEST YORKSHIRE
HD8 0LA

The telephone number of the Shareholder Call Centre is (0871)664-0300. Calls cost 10p plus network charges. If you are ringing from overseas their telephone number is +44 208 639 3399.

2. Can I check my shareholding on the Internet?

If you have not already done so, you can register with Capita Registrars to gain access to the Share Portal. There you can view your share holding and its estimated value, see transactions on your account, view dividend payments, update your address or apply to have dividends paid directly to your bank account. Once you have your user name and password, you can access all this information and more here: https://www.capitashareportal.com/

3. I have recently changed name, what should I do?

Write to Capita Registrars (stating that you are a Mountview Estates PLC shareholder) at the address above, enclosing an original document evidencing the change of name (for example Marriage Certificate, Deed Poll). Don't forget to include your Share Certificate(s) for alteration too. If you have divorced and wish to revert to your maiden name, please send the original Decree Absolute and your Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate along with your Share Certificates for alteration.

4. I have moved house, what should I do?

Write to the Registrars at the address above, stating you are a shareholder in Mountview Estates PLC, giving your old and new address. To prevent fraud, Capita will write to both the old and new address to confirm that the change of address is a genuine one. You will find a standard change of address form here: http://www.capitaregistrars.com/shareholders/information/

5. What happens if a Mountview shareholder has died?

If the shares are in the sole name of the deceased, the Registrars will require the original or Sealed office copy of the Grant of Probate, original Letter of Administration or original Scottish Confirmation, plus the Share Certificate(s). If you do not have a Grant of Representation, Capita Registrars will advise you of their Small Estates procedure. If the Share Certificate(s) are in joint names the Registrars will need the death certificate and the share certificate for amendment. A new Share Certificate will be issued in the name of the surviving shareholder.

6. What is a dividend?

A dividend is the distribution to shareholders of a portion of Mountview’s profits. There are normally two dividend payments a year, an 'interim' dividend and a 'final' dividend.

7. Can I have dividends paid straight into my bank account?

Yes you can. Mountview encourages shareholders to use this method as it is secure and convenient and ensures cheques do not go missing in the post. You can advise the Registrars of your bank account details online if you have a Share Portal account.
To create an online account see Question (2) above. Alternatively you can download a dividend mandate form here: http://www.capitaregistrars.com/shareholders/information/
You will still receive the tax voucher at your registered address so that you know how much money has been paid into your account.

8. I have lost my dividend cheques, can I get replacements?

You can get replacement dividend cheques but there is an administration charge of £12 for any cheque over £30 but under £100, and a £15 administration charge for cheques over £100. Please send a cheque payable to 'Capita Registrars Limited' with a covering letter quoting Mountview Estates PLC, with your full name and address.

9. What is a Share Certificate?

A Share Certificate is a document issued to you as a shareholder, evidencing your ownership of a specific number of Mountview Estates PLC shares. It is a valuable document and must be kept in a safe place at all times. You will need to produce your Share Certificate should you decide to sell or transfer some or all of your shares.

10. What do I do if I have lost my Share Certificate?

You must contact the Registrars immediately so that a 'stop' can be put on the Share Certificate. If your certificates were stolen, the Registrars will need the police Crime Reference Number. The Registrars will send you a Letter of Indemnity for completion so that the lost Share Certificate can be replaced. However, there may be an administration charge, and the Letter of Indemnity will need to be counter-signed by a bank, insurance company or a guarantee society. Alternatively the Registrars can arrange the counter-signatory requirement for a fee, full details of which will be included in letter accompanying the Letter of Indemnity.

11. How do I transfer shares?

You will need to obtain a Stock Transfer Form from Capita Registrars. This needs to completed and returned to them, together with your Share Certificate. Alternatively, you can download a Stock Transfer Form here: http://www.capitaregistrars.com/shareholders/information/
Where you are transferring shares for cash, you will need to seek advice from HM Revenue & Customs about the payment of stamp duty. Contact the Birmingham Stamp Office on (0845) 603 0135 for further details.
